How to publish correctly!
You may NOT distribute the .iBooks file you create and charge a fee (Sell the book) if you are using Google Drive!
When your are ready for publication you will want to export the ibook (DO NOT use the "Publish" option in iBooks because it will make you use iTunes and hold you to their rules for distribution. This file can actually be uploaded to Google Drive. Once the file is uploaded then select the file and then go to More>Share . In the new pop-up window select the hyperlink Change so that anyone with the link can view the file. I do not like to list the files as public so I make sure that Anyone with the link can view is selected. NOTE: You DO NOT want to use the Publish feature of iBooks Author. This will force you to publish to iTunes.
1. Click on "File"; 2. Click on "Export" Again... do NOT click "Publish"
3. Select "iBooks" and click "Next"
4. Name your ibook in this case: "Picasso.ibooks" then, select the shared Google Drive folder for "Submitted iBooks" and click "Export"
5. Once this is done, you will follow similar sharing steps that we completed earlier.

- Click the icon with the person and the "+" sign next to it
- Click the box next to the iBooks file
- Click the icon with the person and the "+" sign next to it
6. This is already in a shared folder so all you have to do is copy the link and paste it to an email to share with parents, students, colleagues *Note they should download and open the file using an iPAD.

Before anyone can download an iBook to their iPad they need to have the iBook app installed.

When you click on a link to download the file you will need to verify that you want to download the file and then select to open it in iBooks.

After clicking Open in "iBooks" it will be in your iBooks Library and can be accessed like any other ibook.
