Ibook author
Prior to beginning work with iBook Author, students should conduct research, work within their teams to gather text and sources within a google doc that is in the shared folders originally set up. Collaboration and comments from group members and teacher can take place during this phase.
When working with iBook Author it will be a simple matter of dragging and dropping the text into the correct locations on the templates.
1. Open iBooks Author and select the template you wish to use. For the sample I used: Biography

2. Use the left navigation to click on sections of the page to edit titles and cut and paste images and video.
3. For ease of use, it is critical that the Google Drive app be installed on your Macbook. To add videos or files you will open the Google Drive folder using Finder on your Macbook so that you can click and drag the photos and videos to the iBook. Below is an example of the video file (in Finder) and what happens when you click and drag it to the iBook Author work in progress.
4. Cut and paste text and format within iBook Author until you have completed your book.
